The rules
What the store expects of you
Pinned by the door, said out loud at the first dive, and enforced by whoever is on the floor without any negotiation.
Getting in
The door
- Eighteen and over, no exceptions and no supervised entry for anyone younger.
- Photo ID can be asked for at the door and again at a table.
- The floor may refuse entry or ask someone to leave without giving a reason.
- Assistance animals come in with you; anything else waits outside.
On the felt
The tables
- Chips belong to the store, count points and hold no monetary value at all.
- Money changing hands over a game ends that game, and doing it twice ends the evening.
- House decks only; your own cards stay in your bag.
- Surface intervals are for everyone — tables break when the floor calls it.
- Score pads are torn up at close and nothing carries over to another evening.
Around the room
Everyone else
- Phones on silent; take the call out the front where the tin roof is not amplifying it.
- Ask before photographing people at a table that is not yours.
- The bar stops serving anyone who is clearly done, and that call belongs to the bar.
- We will book a taxi at any hour we are open and you can leave the car in the lot overnight.
